It’s essential to adjust your perceptions about shelter animals. Not all of them end up in shelter due to behavioral or other issues. Often, dogs or cats are surrendered to shelters because their previous owners faced situations like relocating for jobs, moving to pet-restricted housing, or experiencing financial hardships such as job loss. Sometimes, adopted pets may require more time to adjust as they’ve been in different environments where they learned different set of rules.
